Tom Harte Dairy Services Celebrates
What an open day to celebrate! with nearly 700 visitors and the very latest DeLaval VMS on display.
Tom Harte, Owner of Tom Harte Dairy Services said; "We are delighted to celebrate over twenty five years in business and would like to thank all our customers and staff who supported and believed in our products and the renowned DeLaval brand down through the years".
The center piece of the day was the mobile display of the DeLaval VMS. Tom said; "We are very excited about bringing the DeLaval Voluntary Milking System to Cork and have been encouraging people to come and see this pioneering machine in action"
Steve Sefton DeLaval Sales Director Ireland was very impressed with the turnout and enthusiasm of the farmers for VMS but cautioned that it could be a little while yet before a full scale sales initiative is launched.
"We have to make sure all the training is done and the engineers are in place before we go ahead " he said.
Tom and Mary Harte have two very important assets - one is Brian their son who is now a big part of the business and the other is Elaine their daughter. Elaine is the goalkeeper for the Cork 2011 All Ireland ladies football team and was very proud to point out that Cork had just won the impressive Brendan Martin Cup for the sixth time in the last seven years!
